Scottish Sub-Aqua Club Membership

This is an annual subscription to the parent organisation SCOTSAC. The most important aspect of this fee is 3rd party liability insurance coverage in the unlikely event that you have an accident for which you are found liable. You will also receive the quarterly SCOTSAC Magazine which is full of interesting diving related topics, procedure and training updates and general news from around the country that may interest you.

£42.00

Scottish Sub-Aqua Club Joining Fee

This is a one off fee for signing you up.

£27.00

Kilmarnock Club Subscription

This is a monthly fee paid by direct debit that allows us to run the Kilmarnock Branch of SCOTSAC. For this you receive many and varied things that were you to go to other diving organisation would cost you an arm and a leg;

e.g.

Free Training. If you are a novice the training would take you up to Sport Diver Level that would certify you to dive unsupervised with a buddy down to 18m. It would include dry suit training, equipment design and use and rescue skills. This is the first Diver rating in the organisation and allows you to train further for better, more involved certification should you wish to do so. This rating, as others, is recognised Worldwide so you can take your Log Book into any dive shop, rent some gear, get a fill and sign up for a dive; BONUS! If you were to go to other "Pay-as-you-go" dive organisation this basic rating would cost in the region of £400.

Free Air Fills. We have a modern Coltri-Sub compressor that has a regular service, high grade filters and provides good quality, moisture/oil free air that is tested on a quarterly basis.

Free use of Club Equipment

Sport Scotland has recently given us a not inconsiderable amount of cash to purchase new equipment that costs you nothing to use, even when you are qualified, you may borrow it till you build up your own equipment stock.

Free use of the club RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat) which has room for up to 8 divers and a Cox. The only cost when out on the club boat is fuel, usually about £5-10 depending on number aboard and distance to dive site.
